CAST

The CAST Cooperative Research Centre (CAST CRC) conducts industry-driven research in metals technology. Australian companies face increased competition due to globalisation and need to improve efficiency and decrease costs to remain successful. UQMP serves cast by providing contact with a variety of industries and facilitates commercial research throught CAST. 

CMM

The Centre for Microscopy and Microanalysis (CMM) is an interdisciplinary research, teaching and service centre which also plays an integral role within the science programs of The University of Queensland, participating both in undergraduate and postgraduate education.  UQMP draws heavily on the extensive electron microscopy and microanalysis resources at the CMM.  UQMP also acts as the commercial branch of the CMM when industrial problems require the use of the CMM's resources.

Applied MCP

Applied Materials Characterisation and Performance (Applied MCP) is a leading, fully integrated service provider in the field of materials investigation and characterisation. Applied MCP provides similar services to UQMP however specialises in non metallic materials.  UQMP and Applied MCP work together to solve materials related problems requiring their complementary metals / non-metals related experience. www.AppliedMCP.com.au
