Jeff Gates (Principal UQMP)

Jeff spent 15 years as an academic and senior researcher at the University of Queensland before starting UQ Materials Performance.  Jeff's areas of interest include Ferrous Metallurgy, Abrasive Wear, Corrosion, Materials Science, Fracture Mechanics and Forensic Engineering.  Jeff has been the principal of UQMP since inception in 1998.

David Schonfeld (Senior Consultant UQMP)

David is a metallurgical engineer and is employed as a senior consultant / technical advisor for UQMP.  David has 35+ years experience in the Rail industry and has peformed roles such as Metallurgist, Workshop Manager, Chief Metallurgical Engineer and Research Director for the Rail CRC.  David has many years experience solving problems in the areas of Ferrous Metallurgy, Non-Ferrous Metallurgy, Welding, Maintenance, Manufacturing, Equipment Refurbishment, Materials selection, Corrosion and many more.

Lenny McInnes (Consultant Engineer UQMP)

Lenny is a materials engineer, working as a Consultant Metallurgist for UQMP.  Lenny comes from a materials and mechanical engineering background and has 7 years experience in solving equipment failure, metallurgical and forensic engineering problems.

Richard Dobeson (Engineer)

Richard is a materials engineer working for UQMP as a trainee manager and trainee consultant.  Richard graduated materials engineering at the University of Queensland with Honors in 2009 and has been working with UQMP since June 2010.  In the 6 months prior to working with UQMP, Richard was a research engineer in the materials engineering department of the University of Queensland.
